London (30 May): The June 2017 issue of ABTA Magazine is now available online, with the print version sent to all members and subscribers. This issue, the cover story focuses on wilderness experiences in Africa, from spotting gorillas in Gabon’s Loango National Park to chilling with penguins in Cape Town.

As usual, ABTA Magazine keeps its readers well informed when it comes to the ever-changing travel industry, with cutting-edge analysis and reports. This edition includes a special report on animal welfare and tourism, and also busts some myths when it comes to millennial travellers.

Editor Jo Fletcher-Cross comments on the relevance of this month’s special report: “This issue’s animal welfare feature is a very important one and I’m really proud of it. It’s vital that the industry thinks carefully about how it can help people travel responsibly, and considers the impact of tourism on animal welfare. ABTA’s guidelines, drawn up with the Born Free Foundation, have been leading the way in helping tour operators transform local practices. The feature in this issue takes a look at how these guidelines are helping, along with interesting case studies from some of travel’s biggest names. There’s so much at stake: we must pay attention.”

The June issue also takes readers on a journey around Puerto Vallarta on Mexico’s Pacific coast, studies the high-end British tour company Insight Vacations, and soaks up the atmosphere on the neon-lit streets of Las Vegas.

When it comes to inspirational travel content, we think the June issue of ABTA Magazine is a great place to start. Here’s why:
