THE CHALLENGE

To continue to expand the National Geographic Traveller (UK) brand into a dynamic, multi-platform experience and create extra contact points for engaging with UK travel enthusiasts.

OUR SOLUTION

The team organised an all-day festival to bring the magazine to life. The aim was to offer readers an immersive experience that showcases the diversity of the world of travel and of National Geographic Traveller (UK).

THE RESULTS

National Geographic Traveller’s first-ever festival took place at The Brewery, London on 17 September, drawing in over 600 guests. The all-day event saw a number of headline speakers take to the stage, including Benedict Allen, Paul Rose and Julia Bradbury. Attendees were able to choose from a packed schedule of events, including Travel Geeks panel sessions, travel writing and photography masterclasses, cooking demonstrations, and language lessons with headline sponsor Babbel. A number of smaller experiences, including flamenco and taekwondo lessons, yoga, mindfulness sessions, wine tasting, a photography exhibition and a virtual reality experience were also on offer throughout the day. Feedback from visitors was thoroughly positive.
