APL Media is thrilled to announce National Geographic Traveller (UK) has been awarded Highly Commended in the Consumer Publication of the Year category at the prestigious PPA Independent Publisher Awards, held on 24 November at Etc. Venues 133 Houndsditch, London. 

National Geographic Traveller (UK) was recognised for its April issue Greece cover story on islands, covering big hitters like Crete and Santorini and lesser-known spots like Agistri. The judges praised the work, saying the strong entry showcased impressive work during a difficult climate.  

The National Geographic Traveller (UK) team were shortlisted in three further categories: 

• The National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival was shortlisted for Event of the Year. 
• Art director Becky Redman was shortlisted for Creative Director/Designer of the Year for National Geographic Traveller (UK). 
• The design team behind National Geographic Traveller (UK) was shortlisted for Team of the Year
