APL Media welcomes a talented new cohort of faces to our creative teams
Since the start of 2025, APL Media’s family of creatives and marketing professionals has grown with new additions and the return of familiar faces across our fantastic teams. We’re pleased to introduce and spotlight our newly welcomed talent as well as updated titles for long-standing staff members:
Gordon Wallis – Production Controller
Having joined APL Media on 20 January, Gordon Wallis brings over 20 years of experience in print and publishing, with a strong background in magazine production, layout and advertising coordination. Through a multi-faceted career, he’s honed a keen eye for detail, a problem-solving mindset and a collaborative approach.
Ben Rowe – Returning Picture Editor
We’re thrilled to welcome back Ben Rowe as Picture Editor at APL Media as of 27 January. Ben has over 16 years of experience in picture editing, commissioning and photography across leading publications. Over the years, he’s developed a keen eye for visual storytelling, creative commissioning and brand aesthetics. His deep understanding of photo research, budgeting and global talent management makes him a valuable addition to the team.
Lucy Coward – Sub-Editor
Lucy has been supporting the subbing team as maternity cover since 10 February. She’s an experienced sub-editor with a strong background in magazines, newspapers advertorials and digital content. Her career has spanned celebrated titles within travel media, including Journey for Princess Cruises and popular lifestyle titles such as Red, ELLE, Grazia and GQ, where she refined her exceptional grammar and editing skills.
Sophy Moyes – Head of Marketing
We’re pleased to introduce Sophy, who’s been heading up our marketing team with a focus on events since she joined us on 24 February. Her strong background in digital strategy, audience growth and campaign management is sure to take our marketing efforts to the next level. Having led high-performing teams across the media industry, her skillset in data analysis, SEO and social media make her a great addition to the team.
Jessica Prupas – Senior Content Editor
Jessica joined us on 4 March and is a Canadian-born, London-based writer, award-winning editor and content specialist with a strong background in editorial leadership and client management. She brings extensive experience in branded content, travel journalism and audience engagement, which allowed her to excel in content strategy, SEO and multimedia storytelling.
Hayley Sigrist – Digital Marketing Executive
Hayley is our most recent addition (as of 23 June) and brings extensive experience in digital strategy, social media marketing and content creation, gained across roles in the UK and Australia. She’s managed high-impact campaigns for organisations like FightMND and News UK, delivering measurable growth in engagement and visibility. With a strong background in analytics, CRM and multi-channel marketing, she’s passionate about driving digital performance and audience connection.
