Final week to enter the National Geographic Traveller (UK) Photography Competition 2026 

Less than a week remains for keen photographers to submit their entries to the National Geographic Traveller (UK) Photography Competition 2026. For those across the UK and Ireland with keen shutter fingers, this is a rare chance to have your work showcased on a national stage and to join an exclusive group of the country’s most exciting visual storytellers. 

Every year, the competition highlights powerful travel photography — images that capture landscapes, cultures, wildlife and thought-provoking moments from around the world. Finalists will have their work displayed at a six-week public exhibition in Granary Square, King’s Cross, London, offering a rare opportunity for photographers to share their work with a wide audience and photography experts. 

This year’s competition offers more ways than ever to take part. Eight categories are open for entry, including two brand-new additions for 2026, with winners — and prizes — awarded in each. Entrants are invited to submit work in as many categories as they wish. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of 11 judges, featuring internationally renowned photographers alongside the experts from the National Geographic Traveller (UK) design team. 

The overall grand prize winner will receive an extraordinary 11-day trip for two to British Columbia, Canada, including flights, accommodation and activities — an experience that promises remarkable landscapes and unmatched photographic opportunities. 

Entries close on 22 March 2026 at 11.59pm. To those who have been considering entering but haven’t yet submitted work, now is the time.
