National Geographic Traveller (UK) team members represent APL Media at PPA Demo Days and a BSME branded content roundtable

Members of the National Geographic Traveller (UK) team will be taking part in two key industry events this April, for the PPA and the BSME, sharing insight on direct partnerships and the evolving role of branded content.

On Tuesday 28 April 2026, National Geographic Traveller (UK)’s head of campaigns, Will Allen, will speak — alongside other strategic partnerships experts — at the PPA Demo Days on how publishers can unlock revenue through direct partnerships. The session will take a deep dive into how to reduce friction in the sales process, improve reporting and ROI visibility, streamline campaign delivery and maintain key relationships.

The event will showcase a clear view of how leading commercial teams are tackling the biggest challenges in direct partnerships today.

If you work in commercial, sales or direct partnerships in B2B or B2C businesses, this is the event for you.

Venue: PPA HQ, Fora, Chancery House, Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1QS

On Wednesday 29 April 2026, National Geographic Traveller (UK)’s editorial director and COO, Maria Pieri, will be hosting a roundtable discussion on branded content for the British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) answering whether branded content still has a reputation problem.

The Devil Wears Branded Content  Brand X Publishers in 2026 will look into how to shape partnerships to build influence and drive value. In 2026, it’s where some of the most ambitious, creative and commercially important work is happening  and where the smartest editors are making their mark.

Alongside leading voices from travel, food, motoring and fashion brands, Rachael Ashley (group content director, Cedar), Andy Calton (director of brands & content – auto and specialist, Bauer), and Alex Herrmann (director, UK and Ireland, director Europe West, Switzerland Tourism), Maria will moderate the session to cover how the best brand-publisher collaborations are being built now and what brands really want from editorial partners.

Whether you’re commissioning, creating or leading, this is a chance to rethink what branded content can be, and how to make it work on your terms.
