
Meet the Team Mondays week three: DR sales
The Meet the Team Monday series catches up with the direct response (DR) sales team this month. The team help businesses gain recognition in themed guides distributed with major national publications, including The Telegraph, The Independent and The Standard. Covering sectors such as travel, health, education and family, the team connects businesses with large national audiences through targeted print and digital campaigns.
Operating across lifestyle and travel content, the team’s day-to-day jobs include finding opportunities for business and revenue, building rapport with clients and helping brands expand their reach.
Edward Alexander-Webber, commercial manager, national press campaigns
Edward is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, negotiating commercial agreements, delivering revenue growth and developing tailored solutions that meet client objectives. He has prior experience leading national media campaigns, developing commercial partnerships and managing client relationships across a range of sectors.
Adam Fox, commercial manager, The Telegraph campaigns
Having joined APL Media in 2016 as a sales executive, Adam worked his way up to manage The Telegraph campaigns. His role involves heading up the team selling advertisements in spreads that are distributed with The Telegraph. Adam says the best thing about coming into work each day is working with his team.
Ben Paschalis, national press consultant
Ben has 14 years of advertising experience. Specialising in selling paid content in spreads that are distributed with The Telegraph, he combines industry insight with a passion for helping businesses gain national recognition, connecting their products and services with prospective clients.
Crystal Hartstone, media consultant, national press
With a background in print and digital media, Crystal works closely with clients to understand their ideas and bring their campaigns to life. As a media consultant for the national press, she enjoys building relationships with clients and helping them share their stories with readers. Crystal joined the team in June 2026 after relocating from New Zealand. She previously worked for Stuff, one of New Zealand’s most popular news publications.
Lucy Hogan, media consultant, national press
Lucy joined the team this month, having previously worked in the media industry for two years in Newcastle. She’s enjoying meeting new clients and learning about their businesses and ideas, as well as building strong relationships.
