ABTA Magazine September and supplements
London (13 September): The September 2016 issue of ABTA Magazine is now available online, with the print version sent to all subscribers. As well as offering inspirational destination content focusing on the Caribbean and Greece, ABTA Magazine ensures its readers are one step ahead of the game with cutting-edge industry analysis and reports, as well as providing a forum for operators to debate the contentious topic of school holiday price hikes.
The September issue also includes two supplements: a guide to Abu Dhabi — a luxury destination transforming itself into a world-class hub of leisure and culture, and the location of the 2016 ABTA Travel Convention next month — and the beautiful, quirky and off-the-beaten-track Chinese province of Qinghai.
In the wake of the Brexit vote, this issue looks both to the past, examining some of the biggest challenges of the past decade, and to the future, engaging with experts to predict the future of luxury hotels.
Editor Jo Fletcher-Cross comments on the surprising geopolitical twists and turns that keep agents, operators and editors alike on their toes: “The expression ‘may you live in interesting times’ pops into my mind almost every day at the moment. Since the last issue of ABTA Magazine the country has voted to leave the EU and the political and wider global landscapes have been turbulent.”
“In the UK, at least, there are now signs that things are beginning to calm down and we can look around, take stock and consider how best to move into the future,” she adds.
