A look at some National Geographic Traveller (UK) multi-article campaigns
Our National Geographic Traveller (UK) teams work on numerous multi-platform, multi-piece campaigns. Here are some highlights from the past few months:
The Pyrenees of Catalonia
This online-only campaign for The Pyrenees of Catalonia Programme was made up of five articles, organised on the National Geographic website in a dedicated hub: a listicle on great adventures in the Pyrenees; a guide to spending five days in Catalonia; expert hiking tips; a roundup of the best winter sports in the Cerdanya Valley; and a feature on the region’s national parks.
Savoie Mont Blanc
This multi-platform campaign brought visibility to the French region of Savoie Mont Blanc. At its heart were three pieces — on the area’s lakes, wine region and ski resorts — that were featured in the Jan/Feb 2022 issue of National Geographic Traveller (UK), as well as on the title’s website and in a dedicated ezine. To increase reach, the articles were promoted with unique sets of banners, newsletter promotions and a social media campaign.
Inghams
This digital campaign for holiday specialist Inghams promoted excursions in Finnish Lapland with six pieces that were published online and made easily accessible via a dedicated hub. The articles comprised a listicle of 10 Arctic adventures; a look at two of the area’s best resorts for families; a roundup of some of the best places to stay; an interview with a chef; a photo story on polar nights; and a profile of a local resident.
Tahi
This campaign for Kiwi honey brand Tahi consisted of three pieces: one print-only feature, one online-only article and one multi-platform piece that was featured both in the magazine and on the website.
