2016 ABTA CountryByCountry Guide Out Now

London (17 May 2016) – APL Media and ABTA are delighted to announce the release of the latest edition of the ABTA CountryByCountry Guide 2016, formally known as the ABTA Members’ Handbook. The guide, redesigned this year to make it an even more valuable reference resource for the travel industry, is full of useful member and travel industry information.

Noel Josephides, ABTA Chairman, said: “ABTA Magazine developed the CountryByCountry Guide as a replacement for the ABTA Handbook, ensuring that it remains a useful and informative resource for ABTA Members to use throughout the year. The guide keeps Members updated with in-depth information on countries around the world. We know that the guide continues to be a useful and informative resource for Members and it’s an accurate reflection of all the hard work that goes into creating it.”

The guide is designed to be used by all travel industry professionals on a day-to-day basis and for the first time this year, the guide is divided into five volumes.

Volume 1, the Members Services volume, contains an invaluable list of Members and Partners, as well as a history of ABTA and an industry directory including detailed entries of everything from airlines to travel insurance providers.

Each of the other four volumes is divided geographically – Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia and Australasia and Americas and Caribbean, with an extended front section devoted to the best in travel in each of the four geographic regions, including top 10 round ups, features themed by sector and analysis. There are comprehensive entries on more than 180 destinations worldwide, including contact details and information on transportation, weather, local attractions, cultural information, currency and more. There are also itineraries and destination highlights throughout.

The ABTA CountryByCountry Guide is distributed on a named basis to all ABTA Members (agents and operators, covering both leisure and business travel), plus all UK tourist board offices and the head offices of ABTA Partners. It’s also distributed to corporate travel managers, conference, group and incentive (MICE) travel organisers and leading companies in sectors such as hotels, aviation, cruise, rail and car rental. ABTA is one of the world’s largest travel organisations; its Members have a collective turnover of approximately £31bn and ABTA’s logo is recognised by 79% of the UK.
