APL Media is pleased to announce that several members of its editorial team have been shortlisted for prizes at the BSME Talent Awards 2023.

The BSME Talent Awards ‘celebrate achievement, best practice and groundbreaking editorial creativity among grass-roots teams across all print, web and social platforms.’ There are 21 categories at this year’s awards, recognising achievements in everything from data journalism to feature writing.

APL Media’s team members are shortlisted in six categories:

Lauren Atkinson-Smith, Lauren Gamp, Kelly McKenna, Oliver Puglisi, Becky Redman, Dean Reynolds and Rosie Klein have been nominated for Best Art Team.

Lauren Gamp, art editor of National Geographic Traveller (UK)has also been nominated for Best Designer, while Oliver Puglisi has been nominated for Best Picture Editor.

Meanwhile, Farida Zeynalova, assistant editor of Food by National Geographic Traveller (UK) has been nominated for Best Writer – Specialist and APL Media’s new managing editor Amelia Duggan is in the running for Best Deputy Editor.

The results will be announced at a ceremony on 6 June.
