Call for entries: Win a photographic commission for National Geographic Traveller

LONDON (2 September 2016)National Geographic Traveller’s Photography Competition 2017 in partnership with CEWE PHOTOBOOK is now open for entries.

The prestigious annual photography competition aims to find the best new talent and to send the winners on a photographic commission for National Geographic Traveller — this year’s destinations include Myanmar and Iceland. Selected entrants will also be included as part of a global press and media campaign, and featured on the National Geographic Traveller website.

Pat Riddell, editor of National Geographic Traveller (UK), said: “It’s very exciting to be launching our sixth photography competition and providing a platform for aspiring entrants to further their careers. Photography is intrinsic to the National Geographic brand and it’s an incredible opportunity for our readers to have their images seen across the magazine and website as well as the world’s media.

“Every year, the quality of entries amazes us and we fully expect this to be the best yet, particularly given the range of categories available to enter and the incredible prizes on offer.”

The independent judging panel consists of Jael Marschner, a photographer and former photo editor at Time Out; Matty Graham, managing editor at Digital Photo Magazine; Andy Greenhouse, creative director and co-founder of Swhype; and Neil Freeman, a photographer and training manager at Nikon. National Geographic Traveller’s art editor Chris Hudson will draw up the shortlist and collate the judges votes to determine the winners.

This year, entrants have a host of categories to choose from:

Portfolio
