Meet the panel: National Geographic Traveller (UK) The Masterclasses online — day one

National Geographic Traveller (UK) has announced the speakers and moderators who will be leading The Masterclasses this year.

Every evening, from 19 to 21 April, join award-winning editors, writers and photographers as they reveal their tips, tricks and success stories in a series of travel writing and photography classes. Here are the sessions you can follow on the first day:

TRAVEL WRITING

19:00 – 19:55: How to write a travel feature — from start to finish

From tricky beginnings and endings to signposting and pacing, using quotes and developing a voice, our panel lays out the best ways to tackle long-form travel writing.

TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY

19:00 – 19:55: How to shoot people and places

You’ll get tips on adapting to the environment you’re shooting in, how to approach a place with street photography in mind and how to get your subjects onside, as well as the essential kit you need and the best ways to get that perfect shot.
