National Geographic Traveller Food (UK) produces an editorial guide on the best of Welsh cuisine
National Geographic Traveller Food (UK) has created an editorial guide on Wales’s culinary offerings. The 52-page guide, sponsored by Food and Drink Wales, the Welsh Government’s Food Division, was distributed with Issue 13 (Autumn 2021) of the magazine in early September.
With its famous landscapes of verdant, pastured hillsides and valleys, sea cliffs and mountains, Wales is taking pride in its strengths and prospering as a producer of some of the world’s finest foods, from foraged botanicals and artisan cheeses to mussels, oysters, lamb, pork and beef.
The guide discovers these ingredients, and many more. It also looks at the care with which they’re produced, how they were used in the past, how they’re being transformed by modern chefs and, most importantly of all, where readers can find them. Destinations covered include Cardigan Bay, Cardiff and North Wales.
