National Geographic Traveller (UK) hosted an exclusive culinary event for Turkish Cuisine Week

6 June 2025: The team at APL Media’s National Geographic Traveller (UK) worked with Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) to host an exclusive evening welcoming almost 200 people to celebrate Turkish Cuisine Week. This event, which took place on 4 June 2025, was curated to spotlight Türkiye’s gastronomic richness in a private setting attended by the Turkish Ambassador to the UK, media representatives, and senior figures from airlines and tourism boards.

The dedicated evening programme brought Türkiye’s cuisine to the forefront, offering attendees the opportunity to taste flavours from across Türkiye, while engaging with key voices from the tourism and media sectors.

The event aimed to:

  • Showcase Türkiye as a vibrant culinary and cultural destination.
  • Encourage connections between travel trade, media and TGA representatives.
  • Showcase content innovation through National Geographic Traveller (UK), a flagship APL Media brand.

Event highlights included:

  • A curated tasting menu inspired by regional Turkish cuisines.
  • Cultural storytelling and destination insights delivered by TGA and senior editors of National Geographic Traveller (UK).
  • Branded content opportunities and collaborative media coverage aligned with Turkish Cuisine Week.
