National Geographic Traveller (UK) releases Ecuador guide
National Geographic Traveller (UK) heads to South America in its latest supplement.
Produced in partnership with the local tourist board, the 52-page Ecuador guide is distributed for free with the June 2023 issue of the magazine, out now.
Inside, we discover the country’s striking wildlife and otherworldly landscapes, including big-hitter destinations such as the Galápagos Islands, Amazon rainforest and volcano-studded Andes.
But a culinary renaissance is also in the works across the country, led by a celebration of homegrown food. We look at how Ecuadorians have fallen back in love with cacao, meet a chef who’s championing local ingredients and quiz a local brewer on the destination’s budding craft beer scene.
All this comes together in the main story, which puts the spotlight on initiatives looking to preserve the country’s heritage — be it nature, food or community ties — and the people behind them.
National Geographic Traveller (UK) has a cover price of £5.25, is available via subscription and on newsstands, and is published 10 times a year. nationalgeographic.com/travel
