Newsletter of the Year win for National Geographic Traveller (UK) at the PPA Awards 2026 

APL Media is celebrating a successful evening at the PPA Awards 2026 ceremony, with National Geographic Traveller (UK) bringing home the win for Newsletter of the Year. 

The judges were impressed by the entry’s creative and highly engaging newsletter strategy, combining innovative formats, smart audience segmentation and strong design to deliver exceptional growth, engagement and traffic. 
 
The award recognises the work of National Geographic Traveller (UK)’s digital team, led by senior content strategist Berkok Yüksel, digital content editor Karlina Valeiko and deputy digital content editor Lena Müller

With a ceremony held at City Central at the HAC in London and hosted by comedian, writer and presenter Russell Kane, the annual awards recognise excellence in editorial, audience engagement, commercial achievement, design, innovation and brand development. 

National Geographic Traveller (UK) received a total of eight nominations across a range of categories, recognising the editorial, digital, branded content, design and marketing teams, including: 

  • Content Marketing Agency of the Year: Branded content and marketing teams  
  • Cover of the Year 
  • Data Initiative of the Year: Building a unified data infrastructure with Databox 
  • Designer of the Year: Becky Redman 
  • Editor of the Year (Consumer Media): Pat Riddell 
  • Special Interest Brand of the Year 
  • Writer/Columnist of the Year: Farida Zeynalova
