The Travel Media Awards — held on 18 October 2021 in London
The Travel Media Awards announced this year’s winners at a live event held on 18 October at the Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel, attended by representatives of the UK’s top travel media. At the ceremony, 20 publications, broadcasters, journalists and photographers were each honoured with a prestigious award.

National Geographic Traveller (UK) Indonesia Guide – out 2 December
Working with Indonesia Tourism, the country’s main tourist board, the team created a 20-page guide to the beguiling islands, distributed with the main magazine. The surrounds of Lake Toba are the inspiration for the main feature; elsewhere, we explore the fishing village of Labuan Bajo, celebrate a sacred holiday in Bali, quiz a local diver on the marine life of the resort of Likupang and chat to creative locals about what makes their country so unique.
National Geographic Traveller (UK) Winter Sports Guide — out 2 December
After a two-season, pandemic-enforced hiatus, winter-sports lovers are poised to return to the pistes this winter. With most of the key destinations in Europe and North America now open for fully vaccinated British travellers, bookings for the coming winter in the mountains are on the up.
