Travel Media Awards 2024 Winners Announced

On 28 October 2024, the Travel Media Awards, in association with Visit Qatar, celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane. Launched as a joint venture between APL Media and Travega, the awards were created to recognise and promote excellence in travel media.

The evening brought together the UK’s finest travel journalists, publications, and industry figures, reinforcing the event’s status as the premier occasion in the travel media calendar.

Among the standout moments was the introduction of the Accessible Travel Writer of the Year award, won by Sassy Wyatt of Blind Girl Adventures, spotlighting inclusive travel media for the first time in the award’s history.

Two additional categories were also launched: Specialist Travel Writer of the Year – Region, awarded to Ed Grenby for his work on the US, and Specialist Travel Writer of the Year – Sector, awarded to Harriet Mallinson for her coverage of the cruise industry.
