World-class chefs to take centre stage at the 2024 National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival

Taking place at London’s Business Design Centre on 20-21 July, 2024’s National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival will bring together a stellar line-up of chefs on the Main Stage, including Sunday headliners Nisha Katona and Ixta Belfrage.  

All set to prepare their signature dishes in the company of host April Jackson, this year’s headline chefs will showcase the flavours of Italy, Brazil and beyond, offering food-lovers the chance to expand their repertoires with recipes from the world’s greatest culinary destinations.   

Saturday menu: 

The opening day of the National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival will start with a Main Stage demo from Richard Corrigan. One of Ireland’s best-known chefs, he’ll be showcasing the seafood of the British Isles, preparing stuffed Dover sole, Cornish crab, Orkney scallops and more. The Great British Bake Off 2015 winner Nadiya Hussain will follow, revealing the secrets behind her kulfi ice cream bars, before Matt Tebbutt takes to the stage to serve up his lamb shoulder ravioli with anchovy dressing. Seeing out the day, British-Ukranian chef, cookbook author and activist Olia Hercules will give visitors a taste of Ukranian cuisine with her grilled vegetable caviar.  

Sunday menu: 

Sunday ticket-holders can also look forward to a varied selection of live demos. The second day starts with pastry chef and author Ravneet Gill, who will be preparing her chocolate hazelnut caramel tart. Great British Menu judge and Mowgli Street Food founder Nisha Katona will then take to the stage to cook up her Bengali prawn curry before Theo Randall showcases his love of Italian cuisine with his take on pasta e fagioliIxta Belfrage, breakout star of the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen, will then bring the festival to a close with her moqueca fish burger.
