APL has had a busy month. Here’s what we’ve been working on this spring.

National Geographic Traveller Food (Issue 15, Spring 2022)
The latest edition of this special-issue series takes readers around the world via seven spices — from delicate vanilla pods grown on the island nation of São Tomé and Príncipe to the brick-red soups and stews infused with paprika found in the restaurants of Budapest. Read more here.

National Geographic Traveller (UK) April 2022 issue
This month’s cover story focuses on unforgettable experiences in Morocco, from mountain biking to sandboarding — and even skiing.

Travel Geeks: the other side of the Balearics
On 23 March, National Geographic Traveller (UK) hosted Travel Geeks: the other side of the Balearics, an online event sponsored by the Formentera Tourist Board. The expert panel, made up of travel writers Fiona Tapp and Maya Boyd, travel journalists Isabella Noble and Jessica Vincent, and National Geographic Traveller (UK)’s own Connor McGovern, offered insight into thoughtful longer stays on the beautiful islands of Formentera, Ibiza, Menorca and Majorca. Read more about the event here.

National Geographic Traveller (UK) 100th issue party
On Tuesday 29 March, the National Geographic Traveller (UK) team hosted a London event to celebrate the magazine’s 100th issue. It was great to recognise this amazing achievement with all our old and new friends, including the event’s sponsors, Italicus and Pentire. Click here to see images.

This issue featured articles about ice baths and cryotherapy, laser facials and low-impact sports for over 50s.

Health and Wellbeing, distributed with The Guardian
In this issue of Health and Wellbeing, you could read about wellness spas for those who want to eat healthily, how to maintain good habits, natural contraception and more.

My Home, My Garden, distributed with The Guardian
This edition of My Home, My Garden explores the revival of chintz, the benefit of home renovations, zero carbon communities in the UK and the downside to mowing the lawn.

The Travel Media Awards 2022 – now open for entry
