The past two months have been filled with landmark moments at APL Media, including editorial achievements, prestigious award wins and preparations for highly anticipated events. As a leading content agency in the travel and lifestyle media industry, here’s a full round-up of what we’ve delivered and what’s on the horizon.  

Editorial highlights 

  • Global travel features: National Geographic Traveller (UK) and Living360 brought forward rich, global storytelling across continents. Explore the features

  • APL Media celebrated three years of a successful multi-channel campaign partnership with Sunsail — a global leader in sailing holidays. Since 2022, the ongoing collaboration has brought forth outstanding editorial work and a 50th anniversary event in May last year. Read more

Industry recognition 

  • Magazine of the Year: At the 2025 TravMedia Awards, National Geographic Traveller (UK) won Travel Magazine of the Year. Read more

People & culture 

  • On 8 May, our first editorial drinks of the year took place in Kentish Town, a welcome chance to reconnect under sunny skies. This was followed by a summer party in the park on 27 June, where staff were able to compete in various games alongside finger food and refreshments. 
  • This summer, APL Media welcomes Kinza Chaudry as part of the Travel Media Awards Step Up Intern scheme, alongside Elinor Davies and David Bayne-Jardine as Editorial and Youth Interns respectively.  We also said goodbye to our previous cohort of interns, whose contributions are greatly valued.

  • The Jul/Aug 2025 edition of National Geographic Traveller (UK) roams the diverse landscapes of Vietnam — celebrating the nation’s 50th anniversary since the end of the war.  View the issue

Events 

  • Tickets are now available for the National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival 2025, taking place on 19-20 July. The full line-up of leading chefs and culinary figures has been announced. Get tickets 
  • Living360 hosted its first event, Debunking Summer Skincare, on 10 June with great success and attendance. The live event was joined by skincare experts and editor Mattie Lacey-Davidson. Learn more 
  • National Geographic Traveller (UK) curated an outstanding culinary event in partnership with Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) to celebrate Turkish Cuisine Week on 4 June. Attended by almost 200 guests, the event also featured insights from the Turkish Ambassador to the UK, editor Pat Riddell and double Michelin star- awarded chef Fatih Tutak. Explore more
